The 18-hole "Sanctuary" course at the Sanctuary Golf Course At WestWorld facility in Scottsdale, Arizona features 6,624 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 135.

Built on the western slope of Scottsdale's McDowell Mountains and adjacent to the nationally recognized WestWorld equestrian center, the Sanctuary is more than a stunning 18-hole daily-fee golf course. The design of the course transformed the Bureau of Reclamation's storm water retention area into a haven for native plants and wildlife.

The Sanctuary at Westworld is the first golf course in Arizona, and the 17th course in the world to receive certification as an Audubon Signature Sanctuary. The enchanting environment, where emerald-green fairways roll alongside environmentally protected areas, is proof that golfers, wildlife and desert flora can all exist in harmony.

Golfers won't be quite as challenged to keep the ball in play by the time they reach the signature No. 8, another par-3 that blends all of the Sanctuary's finer elements including a two-tiered waterfall.  Of the two nines, the backside is stronger, featuring numerous holes that are isolated in the course's most eco-sensitive areas. Regardless of your results, adding up the scorecard will be a pleasurable experience on the club's veranda that overlooks the Phoenix skyline.
