Penn National features two 18-hole championship golf courses- The Founders Course and the Iron Forge Course. The 18-hole Iron Forge course at the Penn National Golf Club & Inn facility in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania features 7,009 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.9 and it has a slope rating of 123.

Built in 1997 this Bill Love design twists throughout a wide valley with spectacular views of the mountains. Iron Forge was designed to pay tribute to the land's past. In the same spirit as the venerable early architects of American golf, Love set out to fit the golf course to the land. Iron Forge is sculpted like a traditional Scottish links course with very few trees, and located on rolling terrain where old apple orchards and pear trees once grew.  All of the greens are two-tiered, and sand bunkers and water hazards come into play on nearly every hole. Mother Nature is the predominant challenge to players of all skill levels on this golf course. Distinct open fairways are lined with tall heather and a multitude of pot bunkers which are strategically placed throughout the course. The greens are large and fast, and require a good eye to read correctly. Bunkers are well-placed, and water hazards come in to play on four holes. The variety of terrain offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The golf course is complemented by numerous local amenities at Penn National and the surrounding area. Bumble Bee Hollow Golf Academy at Penn National is an impressive 40-acre practice and teaching complex.
